Everything Teachers Ask About Our Done-for-You Etiquette Curriculum
Before a teacher, an administrator, or a homeschool parent ever brings a new curriculum into their classroom or their home, the same handful of questions comes up every single time. They are fair questions, and you deserve straight answers before you commit. So here they are, in the order I actually get asked them.
One thing up front, because it is the piece people are most relieved to hear. This is modern social skills, not dusty old etiquette. The language is current, and the scenarios are the ones kids are actually living. It was built for how children socialize now, not for how they socialized thirty years ago.
Do I have to teach the lessons in order?
Mostly, no. The one I do recommend teaching first is Module 1, Introduction to Social Skills, because it lays the foundation everything else sits on. After that, some lessons naturally build on each other, but you are completely free to choose the modules that fit your students or the exact issue you are facing this month. It is modular on purpose, so you can cherry-pick what you need instead of marching through in a fixed line.
Is it really a done-for-you etiquette curriculum, or will I be building lessons at 10pm?
A done-for-you etiquette curriculum should mean exactly what it says, and this one does. It comes with engaging, ready-to-teach slides, so you are not writing plans or building materials from scratch. The only thing you might do is print the student activity pages and a set of task cards, and even those task cards you can simply project on your screen if you would rather not print. You open it and you teach.
How much time does it take to teach?
Magic Manners® lessons run about 55 minutes. Social Savvy® lessons run about 75 minutes, since the older material goes deeper into more complex territory. If 75 minutes is more than your schedule allows in one sitting, you can split a Social Savvy® lesson across the week, or skip the full deep dive and cover just the pieces that matter most for your students. It flexes to the time you actually have.
Can I teach it once a week? Or even less often?
Yes and yes. Once a week is a lovely rhythm, and it is how a lot of teachers run it. You can go lighter, a lesson every couple of weeks, or heavier during a focused push, or split the longer lessons up. Because it is modular, it bends to your calendar instead of demanding you bend to it.
What grades does it actually cover?
Magic Manners® covers kindergarten through fifth grade with 32 modules, from the foundational skills like body language all the way to dining etiquette. Social Savvy® picks up for grades six through eight with 40 modules that move into the deeper, messier territory: real versus fake friends, red flags, and navigating social media. And there is a third tier on the way, True to You, focused on critical thinking, AI, and figuring out what is actually true online. Between them, you are covered from kindergarten through eighth grade, with the teen material close behind.
Is this a real curriculum, or just be-nice posters?
It is a real, structured curriculum, and it is substantial. Magic Manners® is four levels with eight modules per level. Social Savvy® is also four levels, with ten modules per level. Each one comes fully loaded: the teaching slides, a teacher book with discussion questions, task cards, parent letters home, and certificates, plus extras like bookmarks and stickers. It teaches the why and the how behind each skill, not a rule taped to the wall.
Do I need to be an etiquette expert to teach it?
Not even a little. That is the whole design. Everything you need to teach it well is right there in front of you. If you can read a lesson and start an activity, you can teach this beautifully, whether you have been in the classroom for twenty years or you are a parent teaching at your kitchen table.
Does it work for homeschool families?
Yes, and homeschool families are a big part of who this was built for. You get the same ready-to-teach lessons and the same flexibility, and we give you ideas for how to use it in co-ops and with siblings of different ages. You move at exactly your family's pace, adapting as much or as little as you like.
Where does it live and how do I access it?
This is one I get asked a lot, so let me clear it up. The curriculum is for the adult, not the kids. You, the teacher or the parent, access everything on Kajabi. From there you can project the slideshow and the student book right onto your screen, keep your teacher's manual open on an iPad, or print it if you prefer, and you print the student pages for your kids. Everything lives in Kajabi, clearly labeled and easy to find. The children never need a login of their own.
Is this a drop-off model, or do I actually get support?
You get me. This is not a drop-off-the-files-and-disappear model. I offer professional development and collaborative planning, so if you are rolling this out across a school, we work out together what fits your bell schedule, your advisory periods, or your counseling time.
